• Caregivers stay with the program and there is low staff turnover (low
child turnover in a family child care home).
• Facility is safe and secure.
• Facility looks and smells clean.
• Facility is well maintained.
• Activities are geared toward the interests and development of the children.
• Toys, equipment and materials are safe for each age group.
• Hazardous materials such as medicines, cleaning supplies are locked away.
